Scope

RM Watson was engaged to deliver a comprehensive facade upgrade across the Advanx Apartments complex, a four-storey mixed-use development in Rushcutters Bay. The project encompassed essential fire safety improvements and aesthetic enhancements across five buildings, which house retail spaces at ground level and residential apartments above.

Scope of Works:

  • Design and installation of BCA-compliant non-combustible cladding system
  • Complete removal of existing cladding and sub-framing
  • Installation of new waterproofing membranes to specified areas
  • Comprehensive facade repainting program
  • Concrete repairs and render restoration
  • Replacement of deteriorated sealants

As Head Contractor, RM Watson managed complex logistics across an occupied mixed-use development, implementing carefully planned access solutions while maintaining business continuity for retail tenants and resident amenity throughout the works.

The project was executed under the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020, with all works supervised by our registered Building Practitioners. Our comprehensive approach included:

  • Detailed assessment and lodgment of all regulated designs
  • Management of design variations through the NSW Planning Portal
  • Full documentation and certification of completed works
